West High Competition

We ventured down to West High School during our Easter Break. It was a nice day and we enjoyed our few days off before the competition.
The girls performed well. I was very proud of them. We had been working on emotions and some "sound effects" and some did very well, Others(need to work more on it). We did not come home with a trophy, but we did increase our scores! so I am very PROUD! We need to focus on having fun and being true to ourselves in what we have performed. I know that we can score even higher at championships, if we make it fun and show the audience that we love to be out here doing what we are doing. Great Job girls! LOVE YA

Riverton Competition

Our competition this time was at Riverton High School. We came to our high school an hour or so early so we could go through our routine a few times and get the bugs out. I think it helped a lot! They did a great job. No drops, which was great. We keep on going instead of getting tired halfway through. All the hard work this past 2 weeks, pulled off. We made a lot of changes to the routine this past week, and the girls were troopers with all the changes. We recieved third place out of 7 teams! WOW!! I am soooo proud of these girls and the accomplishments they made. Our next goal for our next competition in 2 weeks is to show more emotion while performing. The judges thought we did great, but we need to perform more. So that is our new goal. Congrats Girls!! Let's keep moving up!!

Our New Floor

This is our new floor!!. We recieved it from "Vision" in SLC. They donated it to us. They are AWESOME!!. Kristy and I put it together with duck tape and Vicki Rhodes helped us paint it. We are still learning how to fold it "properly", each time it looks different. Oh well! I think it ties the whole show together.

FIRST COMPETITION

Saturday, Feb. 23rd, we had our first winter guard competition. It was in Spanish Fork at American Leadership Academy. (In the middle of no where, it was like we were in Tremonton). A long bus ride, which consisted of games and experimenting with make-up, then 3 hours later, we arrived. We were SQUISHED in a hallway with a school on both sides of us. This is where we were suppose to relax and get ready. Yeh right! Stinky and stuffy is my comment about that! We had 1st time competition jitters, I could tell. 9 girls had no idea what to expect. We goofed around a lot and enjoyed our night there. I ordered pizza for them all, but I should of bought more than 3, next time I will remember that! I was proud of you for what you have accomplished so far this year. Let's get out there and kick some butt next time. Riverton here we come!! Our team is RED HOT!
